Fundraising Challenge

A heartfelt thank you to all our London Marathon runners! Your efforts have raised a remarkable £6,878 so far, with donations still pouring in. Your commitment and passion are truly inspiring, and we are immensely grateful for your support.

A Challenging Yet Unforgettable Marathon Day

The marathon took place on a beautiful sunny day, but the high temperatures made the 26.2-mile course even more challenging. Finishing the historic route in record time was Nikki, an experienced marathon runner, who completed the race in an impressive 2:57, placing her as the 167th woman out of 25,000 runners.

Nikki shared her experience: “It was certainly a very hot day out there, but the crowds were amazing! I had an absolute blast and achieved my goal of finishing under 3 hours with a 2:57. What an experience! The best part was Tower Bridge—I wanted to cry, it was so cool!”

If Nikki’s story has inspired you to lace up your running shoes, consider joining Ickle Pickles Incubator Push or another running event for Ickle Pickles. But if running isn't your cup of tea, there are plenty of other ways to fundraise for Ickle Pickles here.

Every year, thousands of babies are born prematurely or with illnesses, and fundraisers like Nikki help us provide vital equipment such as incubators and ventilators. These efforts give our little fighters the best possible start in life. You can contribute to Nikki's fundraising goal of £5K by donating here.

Little Conor's Mini Marathon Triumph

On his 9th birthday, little Conor completed the mini London Marathon, raising £635 for premature and sick babies at St Helier Hospital. Born at just 27 weeks and weighing 2.4lbs, Conor spent the first three months of his life receiving specialist care at the hospital.

Conor's family is forever grateful to the neonatal staff, and they actively participate in fundraising efforts whenever they can. His mum, Fiona, expressed her pride: “What a fantastic day! The atmosphere was absolutely amazing. Conor ran the mile in 9 minutes and 38 seconds, his fastest time. We are all incredibly proud of him, and he smashed his target, raising an incredible £635!”

Special thanks to Conor’s school, Downsend School, for their support. You can donate to Conor’s Mini Marathon here.

Jamie's Marathon Journey for Freya

In case you missed it, Jamie ran the London Marathon for his daughter, Freya, who was born very prematurely. His efforts raised over £2,000 for essential neonatal equipment at Southampton Hospital’s NICU.

Freya was born at just 25 weeks, weighing 1lb 12oz. Her journey began with an emergency C-section and life-saving machines. Despite the odds, Freya proved to be a tiny warrior. Today, she is an unstoppable little girl, approaching her third birthday, full of songs and stories.

Jamie’s run is dedicated to Freya and all babies who fight for every breath. Please consider supporting Jamie’s cause and providing life-saving equipment. Every donation makes a difference: Support Jamie.

Thank you to all our runners and donors for your incredible support in helping us give every newborn a fighting chance. You are making a world of difference!
