Tandem Parachute Jump
Stephen Adcock took the plunge and jumped 10,000 feet on 25th July to raise funds for the Neonatal units at the University Hospital of North Durham & the University Hospital of North Tees in memory of Lottie born in February 2011 and Poppy born in December 2011. Stephen raised a fantastic £1067 and enjoyed the adrenaline rush of the jump!

Swim across the Mersey for Arrowe Park NNU
Brrr. Thanks and a congratulations to Viki Boult and her brother Trevor who took on the epic challenge of swimming 2 miles (in a horsehoe direction) across the River Mersey to raise funds for a Twin Cot at Arrowe Park NNU. Viki's determination stems from the premature birth of her twin boys Hughie and Lloyd to Viki’s partner Katie in June last year. Over £5500 has been raised so far!

Gold Challengers
Thanks to Bonnie Fisher, Laura Cannell, Alice Watson, Lorna Sparks, Mark Harrison, Jorge Escobar, Chris Wroe &
Annabelle Woods for dressing top to toe in gold and collecting funds for us at Cannon Street and Waterloo train stations. They raised over £650 and bought many a smile to the Friday night commuters. They are planning more fundraising events over the Summer and all funds raised will be donated to the NNU at St Peter's Chertsey. Thanks guys!

3 Peaks Challenge for UCLH
On the last weekend in June 2012 when the sun should have been shining, Sean Mathieson, Sarah Wilsher & their dedicated driver, Angela took on the 3 peaks challenge over 24 hours in aid of the Neonatal unit at University College Hospital London. The rain lashed down, Sarah struggled with a chest infection but still achieved their goal raising over £750. They were joined by fellow UCLH colleagues raising funds for a NNU in Mulago, Uganda. Great effort everyone, thank you.

Just an Ickle Bit Further!
Heavy rain and rolling clouds couldn't dampen the spirits of the 125 walkers who had committed to the 23 mile walk around Portsmouth in aid of the NNU at Cosham. Each walker was kitted out in an Ickle Pickle t-shirt & supremely organised by our Ambassador Lorraine. Many pubs supported the thirsty fundraisers and a local Asda kindly provided refreshments.

Family Fundraising
Charlie’s Grandparents Bill & Anne Kilby celebrated a “double” occasion – Their Ruby Wedding Anniversary & Anne’s 60th Birthday with family and friends at their farm in Yorkshire. Donations of £1550 in lieu of gifts were generously donated. Also Anne raised £250 on a sponsored cycle ride of 72 miles.

Sainsbury's Community Grant
Our local Sainsbury's store in Balham generously applied for and successfully won us a £250 Community Grant to help fund the Incubator Ball on 1st March.
The Sainsbury’s Community Grant scheme, helping charitable groups in the local community, is funded by sales of ‘Bags for Life’. Thanks to Store Manager Wayne, HR Manager Ruben & PR Ambassador Paula for all their help and support.

Eric's Skydive at 80!
We have to say this is probably the pluckiest fundraising challenge we have had to date. Congratulations to Eric Chaplin who celebrated being 80 years young in January 2012 by jumping out of a plane in the name of charity! Eric raised almost £500 which is being divided between the Ickle Pickles & Leukemia Research. Thanks Eric!

Sainsbury's Balham - Xmas Bag Packing Day
With an enthusiastic and hard working team of supporters we helped local Balham shoppers to pack their Sainsbury's Xmas food & drink in return for donations. By the end of the day we were shattered but pleased with our efforts as we raised £1200! Thanks to the staff at Sainsbury's, the customers and of course our volunteers!

Great North Run
Alan & Suzanne Moerman made up part of our 5 strong running team in the 2011 Great North Run in Newcastle. They ran a brilliant time of 1 hour 56 minutes and raised over £1100 between them. Thanks from all at Ickle Pickle HQ!

Bupa Great South Run 2011

New Forest Half Marathon
Congratulations and a big thank you msut go to Gemma Turner who challenged herself to run the New Forest Half Marathon in September 2011. Gemma completed in the race in a brilliant time of 2:42:08 and raised over £200 for the NNU at Portsmouth

Moorlands Primary School

Lands End to John O'Groats - May 2011
They did it! A core team of 5 who were joined at various stages of the ride by key supporters who kept the banter going and the spirits high. Our biggest single fundraiser yet, this event raised an unbelieveable £23,000! Special thanks to the core team - Andy Marsh, Paul Goss, Nick Gibson, Biagio Morreale & Harry Newman.

Bupa Great Manchester 10K
The dynamic trio of Liz Tattersley, Sean Woodhouse and Jon Baker ran the Manchester 10k as a thank you to Barnsley NNU for the care received by Lily Burns who was born prematurely. They raised over £2000!

Two Oceans Marathon
A big thank you must go to Linzi Blakey & Freddy Burger who chose to travel halfway round the world in April 2011 to run the Two Oceans Half Marathon in South Africa. They raised over £400 for us which is very much appreciated!

3 Forts Half Marathon triumph!
Congratulations to Gail Vickers & family who conquered the 3 Forts half marathon hill walk in 4hours 15minutes for the SCBU at Worthing Hospital who gave such amazing care and support to their grandson Finlay and his mum and dad. Finlay was born at 33 weeks weighing just 2lb 13oz and spent 4 weeks in their care. They raised a fantastic £1000 as a thank you for the care Finlay received.

London Marathon 2011 - Our first Official Runner!
Congratulations and a huge thank you to Emma Irwin, our first ever Ickle Pickle Charity Runner in the London Marathon. Emma trained incredibly hard and raised an impressive £2500 for her efforts and a 4:19:47 time. Thanks again Emma!

Will and Sophie raised over £1000 for the Ickle Pickles by completing the "Run to the Beat" half marathon in Greenwich on 26th September 2010. They finished the race in an impressive 1hr 51 mins. Congratulations and many thanks to both.

Julia organised a team of 4 adults and 3 children to run the Great South Run in the pouring rain in 2009 for the Worthing and Portsmouth hospitals in recognition of the care her twin boys received who were born at 28 weeks in 2008

Martyn Hollingsworth
Martyn took on the challenge of the Great North Run in September 2009 achieving an impressive 2 hours 39 minutes and 34 seconds to raise over £1000 for the neonatal unit at Jessops Wing in Sheffield where Martyn's daughter Jaimee Nicole was cared for in 2006.
