Transport Incubators

Transport Incubators

London Neonatal Transfer Service | The Royal London Hospital, Whitechapel Road, Whitechapel E1 1BB | London

The TI500 incubator provides the warm, safe environment and quick access necessary for optimal neonate care while a baby is being transferred from the neonatal unit in an ambulance
environment, The Incubator can run on 120 or 240 VAC line voltage (50/60/400 Hz) or internal battery power, giving neonatal transport teams optimal flexibility during transport journeys. The current transport incubators the service have are all over their official 7 year
lifespan (some 8-20 years), are failing. The worst one is at risk of
not holding its heat because of the cracks in it, and maintaining the small babies temperature is essential to their care.

LNTS are referred approx. 2,300 babies per annum and complete approx.1,800 of these babies.

1,800 ÷ 4 incubators = 450 babies per incubator
