Philips Portable Oxygen Concentrator

Philips Portable Oxygen Concentrator

King's College Hospital | Denmark Hill, London, SE5 9RS | Greater London

Parents and families of babies who have graduated from NICU to paediatrics and staff on Paediatric Unit are joining together to fundraise to purchase an additional Portable Oxygen Concentrator. A lot of the babies discharged from NICU remain on home oxygen. In order for these patients and their families to travel they require a portable oxygen concentrator as airlines no longer provide inflight oxygen for short haul flights, additionally for long haul they can only administer a set flow of 2 litres per minute, which for most babies/children, is not enough. The portable oxygen concentrator allows parents to set the flow at the required rate for their child.

The cost of the concentrator is £2200 and external batteries around £630 which would give 6 spare batteries for extended journeys. So the total target is £2830.
