The Ickle Pickles Pledge

The Ickle Pickles Pledge

We are proud to be working with over 50 neonatal units across England and Wales. Our donations help provide the necessary equipment and facilities needed for the intensive and special care for newborn babies and their families.

The Ickle Pickles Pledge The Ickle Pickles pledge is a joint commitment between the charity and your neonatal unit to proactively fundraise for the intensive and special care equipment that your unit most urgently needs.

Under the pledge, we commit to working with neonatal units, and can help you to access the necessary equipment and improve the health and wellbeing of babies and their families.

We also work in partnership with neonatal transport services. Together, we commit to fundraising for equipment used to transport premature or sick babies across the neonatal network.

How does the charity deliver the Ickle Pickles Pledge?

  • We pledge to raise and donate an agreed amount each year
  • We provide a dedicated fundraiser
  • We offer fundraising advice, information and promotional support
  • We run dedicated online appeals and provide exposure to our social followers to expand your reach
  • We organise and promote fundraising events
  • We engage parents with fundraising opportunities and tell compelling neonatal stories
  • We donate gifts and wellbeing packs on special occasions
  • We provide full transparency of funds raised and commit that 100% of funds raised will be donated to your neonatal unit

How does the neonatal unit support the Ickle Pickles Pledge?

  • A dedicated noticeboard to display information about Ickle Pickles and fundraising events. (Don’t worry, we’ll keep it up to date)
  • Provide opportunities to raise awareness of the charity with clinical and nursing staff
  • Facilitate a regular Pledge meeting with a member of the clinical team to discuss equipment needs and fundraising progress
  • Make introductions to parents or family members who express an interest in volunteering or raising money for your neonatal unit
  • Help promote the charity to potential volunteers (we call them NeoHeroes) who support the pledge and help organise fundraising
  • Facilitate occasional visits to the unit to present donated equipment
