Supporting our mission

Every penny donated for the purpose of a specific neonatal unit, piece of kit or initiative goes towards funding our mission of giving every newborn a chance. We often top up those donations from our own resources and fundraising activities to ensure there is a sufficient amount available.

We have regular contact with and provide support to over 50 neonatal units and 3 transport services around the country. We can work with you to support any neonatal unit in England or Wales.

We understand parents’ desire to support the neonatal unit that cared for their Ickle Pickle, and we strive to make this happen. Sometimes, the unit doesn’t need help or hasn’t indicated how they’d like the funds raised to be used, despite our best efforts and follow-ups. In such cases, we redirect donations to similar causes or nearby units. Those funds are never used by us to cover our own costs. Instead, we ensure that every penny goes towards helping other newborns in need.

How do we cover our expenses?

Similar to other organisations, we have our own costs and overheads to manage. We achieve this through a mix of fundraising activities not tied to a specific purpose, merchandise sales, general unrestricted donations, and utilising the Gift Aid component from fundraising activities.
