London Neonatal Transport Service
London Neonatal Transfer Service | The Royal London Hospital, Whitechapel Road, Whitechapel E1 1BB | London
We have worked with the dynamic team at LNTS since 2012. The team has a huge job of transferring babies across the capital (and beyond) due to cot shortages, babies needing an increased level of care than their hospital can offer or repatriation back to their local unit.
LNTS receive approximately 2,300 referrals per annum, they can’t service all these requests but they do their best!

Current Appeals
The team at LNTS have requested a Dual Transport Baby Pod to enable them to transfer twins together. At present each baby needs to be transferred separately, this has an impact on the family as there is no guarantee that the transfer teams will be able to transport both on the same day.
This system can also be used for single transfers as the pods are detachable.
It is estimated that 1,000 babies per year will be transported using the Baby Pod.
